Virginia Ninth District Congressman Co-Sponsors Bill Supporting Collection Of Marijuana Research Data

Southwest Virginia, Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith is co-sponsoring a bill that would make long-overdue improvements to the Federal Government’s policies on marijuana research. Griffith says in a press release, “Whatever our views on marijuana legalization as legislators, we should support the collection of scientific data to guide our decisions”, end quote. H.R. 3797, the Medical Marijuana Research Act, if approved would advance the work of scientists and provide more reliable information about any benefits and harmful consequences that result from medicinal marijuana use.
