Virginia mental health officials record 10 virus deaths
A total of ten individuals associated with Virginia’s mental health care centers have died from COVID-19 according to data released this week.
Two patients at the Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute in Marion are in isolation after testing positive while 16 patients and 3 staff members have recovered.
The report says a total of nine patients have died from the virus and the death of a caregiver, a nurse at the Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute in Danville, was just reported—the first fatality among support personnel at those facilities.
