Driver slams into building on Bristol’s State Street

A building currently under renovation on State Street suffered major frontage damage Friday morning after a motorist drove his Cadillac into the structure.

Bristol Tennessee police were called to the scene just after 9:30 and found both the driver and car inside the dwelling in the 700 block of downtown.

Building officials are evaluating the storefront for structural damage. The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
