Virginia early voting period for November election now underway
Early voting in Virginia for the November election is now underway.
Eligible voters have three options, which includes choices of early in-person voting, mail-in voting, and voting on Election Day. State lawmakers approved legislation earlier this year to allow any eligible voter to vote absentee by-mail without an excuse. For those interested in casting their ballot ahead of Nov. 3, absentee ballots must be requested by Oct. 23, and turned in by election day.
The final day for early voting is Sat. Oct. 31. Visit the Virginia Dept. of Elections website or contact your local registrar’s office for complete information on early voting procedures.
