VSP: Male dead in Sunday house fire in St. Paul, Va

One person has died following a house fire Sunday in St. Paul, Virginia.

Virginia State Police First Sargent Geoffery Lewis tells us crews were dispatched to a fire at a home on the 16000 block of Lee St just before 4:30 p.m. Lewis said crews found a deceased 45-year old male inside the home after arriving. The man was the only occupant in the home at the time.

Emergency crews were cleared from the scene around 10 p.m.

Early indications from Lewis says the fire does not appear suspicious in nature, which remains under investigation by state police.
