Two Buchanan County, Va Schools transitioning to full virtual learning until Oct. 2 after learning of COVID-19 cases in system
A pair of schools in the Buchanan County, VA School system are heading back to full virtual learning after detection of COVID-19 cases in two students.
A statement from the district says following the notification of those cases, it has led to Council Elementary/Middle as well as Council High School to transition back to online classes at least through Oct. 2. Both schools are expected to reopen the following Monday on Oct. 5.

The students in those schools will log on from home beginning today.
The local health department is contact tracing these cases, and areas the students who tested positive were in have been deep cleaned, according to the school system.
