Eastman Makes The Promise Of Sustainability A Reality With Recycled Plastics For Fiber Production
Eastman Chemical Company is once again using its patented carbon renewal technology to assist in the production of a new fiber used in fashionable womenswear garments. Naia cellulosic fiber is made from 60 percent wood pulp and 40 percent recycled waste plastics materials that otherwise would be destined to the landfill. Naia Renew is produced with a low carbon footprint where solvents are safely recycled back into the system for reuse. The recycled plastics feedstock is generated by Eastman’s patented carbon renewal technology creating a truly circular solution creating value from waste.
