UPDATE: Woman accused of hitting, killing two pedestrians in Boone, NC indicted on felony charges
An Appalachian State student accused of hitting and killing two pedestrians in an alcohol related crash earlier this month has been indicted for two counts of felony death by vehicle.
A Watauga Co., NC grand jury returned charges on Sept. 28 following testimony by police officers into the incident involving Madison Mahagan, 21, of Durham, NC, who was allegedly intoxicated when police say she struck and killed pedestrians Tracy and James Lindamore, of Maryland at the intersection of E. King St. and Forest Hills Dr. on Sept 4.
Mahagan is being held in jail on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court November 16.
