UPDATE: NFL investigating Titans organization following more COVID cases in Nashville
A formal investigation has now been launched by the National Football League following more COVID cases being diagnosed within the Tennessee Titans organization.
As @RapSheet and I reported Sunday, the NFL and NFLPA also have been looking into possibly inconsistent use of masks and tracking devices and whether symptoms were timely reported. If protocols are found to have been violated, discipline could follow. https://t.co/0NkRjfSMmh

The NFL Network report said the inquiry is to determine if Titans players have been working out together while they were quarantined last week after 13 initial cases were confirmed causing the postponement of their home game with Pittsburgh until later in the season.
The team announced Wednesday the case count has grown to 22.
Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a message sent to all teams on Monday that teams could have to forfeit games and pay thousands in fines if virus precautions are not followed both in and out of the locker room.
