Hancock County’s Morgan Wallen scrubbed from SNL due to surfaced video of ‘no mask’ house party
East Tennessee country star Morgan Wallen has been yanked from a scheduled performance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live after videos surfaced showing him attending a crowded house party in Alabama with no masks.
Wallen said in a video posted on his social media account Thursday that he has not tested positive for the coronavirus but respected the decision of the show’s management to drop him from the broadcast.
Wallen is a Hancock County native and grew up in Sneedville before gaining a national following on the reality show The Voice.
SNL creator Lorne Michaels did announce that if a spot opened up later in the season he would possibly invite Wallen back to perform.
