Hawkins County Schools staying in “yellow phase” of operation plans for remainder of fall semester
Hawkins County Schools have chosen to stay operating in the yellow phase of its operation plans for the remainder of the fall semester.
Director of Schools Matt Hixson said in an update Thursday that the decision is due to safety concerns related to COVID-19. The district plans to finish out this semester with students learning in-person Monday-Thursday, with Friday used as a fully remote learning day across the district.
