Officials: Castlewood Elementary to move to fully remote learning for two weeks due to COVID-19 case in staff member
Castlewood Elementary School will operate on a fully remote schedule for the next two weeks after a staff member tests positive for COVID-19.
That announcement was made Thursday by Russell County, Va Public School officials, who said the staff member had direct contact with other members of the school community and was at school yesterday. The health department’s recommendation is to have the school stay online until Monday Oct. 26, where it could then return to its current operating procedures.
Russell County Schools also announced that a staff member at Castlewood High School and Honaker High School also tested positive for COVID-19, but no changes are being made to those schools operations.
