Police: Man pointed gun at morning commuters in Johnson City

A Johnson City man is accused of pointing a gun at morning commuters on a busy route on Friday.

Michael Grindstaff was charged with aggravated assault plus a gun and drug charged after investigators were able to track him down, according to a report from the Johnson City Police Department.

Officers got the call just after 7:30 of the incidents that took place in the area of West Mountcastle Drive and North Roan Street, the report said. One of the victims was able to positively identify Grindstaff. He was issued a $15,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment in General Sessions Court.
