UPDATE: Johnson City man sentenced to 10 years in prison for home invasion assault and robbery

A Carter County, Tennessee judge has sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for robbing and assaulting a 93-year-old resident last summer.

Jeremy Keith Cox, 37, was taken into custody in August after investigators determined he had broken into the elderly man’s home located on Jarrett Buck Loop in Johnson City several times within a 30-day period and then injured the victim during a separate home invasion.

Cox has a restitution hearing scheduled for Nov. 6th.
