BREAKING: Lebanon shopping area on lockdown following shooting

A spokesperson with the Russell County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office said a shopping area in Lebanon is on lockdown following an incident Tuesday morning.

Police have secured a perimeter around the Russell County Shopping Center off East Main Street, the spokesperson said.

Eyewitnesses have told us that they witnessed a shooting in the parking lot area of the property that resulted in the driver being shot and then driving his pickup truck into parked vehicles in the area. They also described a woman being led away in handcuffs and a male victim being treated by medical personnel laying in the parking lot.
