Eastman, Kingsport Team Up To Realign Portion Of Jared Drive

A long term, Eastman Corporate and manufacturing commitment to the City of Kingsport is moving forward with plans for a road improvement project involving the realignment of Jared Drive. Kingsport is applying for a State Industrial Access program to support the road project. The new route, will move a portion of Jared Drive to run along the South Holston River Sluice and away from the rail storage yard, and will provide for unimpeded passage from Riverport Road to Morland Drive, and also allows Eastman to operate safely and effectively within a more contiguous site. The project is expected to begin in late 2021 and should take about a year to complete.
