Ballad Health announces COVID cluster discovery at Johnson City Medical Center

Ballad Health announced Friday the identification of a cluster of COVID-19 cases within Johnson City Medical Center.

The report issued by the provider said 22 members of hospital staff and six patients tested positive for the virus and the cases were traced back to a single progressive care unit.

The statement said Ballad is working with state health officials to track and limit virus exposure and has already conducted testing on potentially exposed workers.
