NEW: Man charged in 2018 juvenile rape case in Washington County, Virginia captured in Oklahoma
A man wanted in a Washington County, Virginia rape case that dates back to 2018 has been captured.
A report from Sheriff Blake Andis’ office said Alan Santos, who investigators said fled the region just before charges were brought against him, was apprehended by US Marshals in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area on Thursday.
Santos, a native of Honduras, is charged with one count of felony forcible rape of a minor and used false identification during that time to avoid capture, the sheriff said.
The suspect is scheduled to have an extradition hearing in Oklahoma in the coming days.
