Body of male victim found in Bristol, Virginia house fire
The body of a Bristol, Virginia resident was found inside of a charred home on Vermont Avenue early Monday.
Crews were dispatched just after 1:30 a.m. and officers reported that the house was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived, according to a report from Bristol Fire Chief Mike Armstrong.
Firefighters from Bristol, Tennessee also assisted in extinguishing the blaze that a preliminary report says started on the right side of the home. A neighboring house also received some structural damage.
The remains of the male victim are being transported to Roanoke for an autopsy.
