BSA’s Camp Davy Crockett in Hawkins County dedicates new dining hall
A dining hall was dedicated over the weekend at a local Boy Scout retreat center that has served the region for more than four decades.
Camp Davy Crockett located outside the town of Whitesburg in Hawkins County has been in the midst of a major facelift on the grounds following a fundraising effort to help the regional Sequoyah Council make capital improvements.
The McGlothlin Family Dining Hall and Conference Center can serve up to 300 guests year-round. The facility is named in honor of United Company of Bristol CEO Jim McGlothlin and wife Francis who made contributions to help in the hall’s construction.
