VSP: Man killed in car crash in Tazewell County, Va

One man is dead following a fatal car crash Sunday afternoon in Tazewell County, Va.

Virginia State Police say a 2009 Chevy Impala, driven by Rickie Vandyke, 57, of Bandy, Va., was traveling south on Route 626 just before 1 p.m, when troopers say the Impala did not stop at a stop sign, crossed over Route 637, went over an embankment, and overturned.

Vandyke died at the scene and the crash remains under investigation.
