VSP: One dead following crash on Route 67 near Honaker

A female driver is dead following a crash late Monday morning in Russell County, Virginia.

Kelly J. Hill, 57, of Swords Creek, was identified as the person killed in the wreck that occurred on Route 67 in the vicinity of Gardener Road just after 11:30 a.m., according to a report from the Virginia State Police.

A preliminary investigation reveals Hill’s pickup truck was hit by an SUV that crossed the double lines and into Hill’s lane of travel. The driver of the other vehicle was not identified in Monday’s statement.

The agency reported that the wreck remains under investigation.
