USDA Loan To Provide Major Water Improvements To Washington County, Virginia
A loan of more than 18 million dollars to the Washington County Service Authority will bring major improvements to water storage and distribution systems for the area. The loan, from the United States Department of Agriculture will support installation of approximately 304 thousand linear feet of water line, 145 fire hydrants, 63 water meter relocations, the demolition of two water storage tanks and construction of a one and a half million gallon tank with related site work. Congressman Morgan Griffith says the funds will provide major upgrades to Washington County, Virginia’s water systems.
