Winds and rain from ‘Zeta’ could impact region this week
Early projections from the National Weather Service in Morristown say portions of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia could receive substantial rainfall Wednesday and Thursday.
The precipitation will be the remnants of Tropical Storm Zeta that is forecast to bombard the Gulf Coast states with another dousing of rain this year.
Models provided in a hazardous weather outlook from the service show up to 2 inches of rain and high winds could accompany the system once it reaches the region.
