Federal Extended Benefits Program In Tennessee Ends This Weekend
If you live in Northeast Tennessee and are utilizing the Federal Government’s Extended Benefits Program for unemployment assistance, that benefit will expire this coming Saturday, November 7th. The federal program uses the state’s unemployment metrics to determine when its extended benefits program will start and end. Tennessee crossed the threshold of economic recovery that triggered the ending of the program on October 10. The Tennessee Department of Labor says it’s ready to help the affected claimants get back into the workforce and currently there are over 230 thousand job openings in the Volunteer State.
