RCPS: Swords Creek Elementary, portion of Honaker Elementary shifting to 100% virtual amid COVID-19

Two schools in Russell County, Va are reverting back to a form of virtual learning amid COVID-19 cases detected in staff members.

The school system said Monday that a staff member at Swords Creek Elementary School as well as staff members at Honaker Elementary School tested positive for the virus. All students at Swords Creek Elementary will move to 100% virtual classes starting Wednesday through next Friday, Nov. 13, while only PreK-2 grade students at Honaker Elementary will transition to fully remote learning beginning Wednesday through Nov. 13.
