Sullivan And Washington Counties On List To Halt Gatherings Beyond Individual Homes…According To Unpublished White House Report
According to Nashville television station WKRN, an unpublished report prepared for the White House Coronavirus Task Force is urging residents in 64 of Tennessee’s 95 counties, including Sullivan and Washington counties to stop gatherings beyond their individual households until COVID-19 cases and test positivity numbers decrease significantly. Of the 64 counties in the red zone, Sullivan is ranked fourth followed by Washington County. As a state, Tennessee is currently ranked 16 on the list with 263 new cases per 100 thousand residents, compared to the national average of 165 per one hundred thousand. Red Zone counties are those counties with more than 100 new cases per 100 thousand residents.
