Drugs, alcohol a factor in Greene County crash that kills three people
Drugs and alcohol were a possible determining factor in a Greene County, Tennessee crash that killed three people early Friday.
A preliminary report from the Highway Patrol says the wreck happened just after midnight at 3890 Kingsport Highway. A car driven by McKyla Shearer was traveling southbound when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle head-on.
Shearer, 21, of Greeneville, was killed along with two passengers, Megan Guirant, 19, and Andrew Dinsmore, 18, also of Greeneville. The report said a fourth passenger, a 17-year-old juvenile male, was injured and hospitalized along with the driver of the other vehicle.
