Johnson City Commissioners Take Steps To Assist Potential Day Care Centers
Since the pandemic, the need for quality child care in the region is greater than ever. Thursday night, Johnson City Commissioners took steps to remove some of the local restrictions that become barriers to those who would like to open a child care center. Some of those barriers are state regulations, but others like sidewalk, parking and landscaping restrictions can be handled locally. Commissioners also agreed to amend definitions of child care by aligning them with the state as well as adopting state definitions concerning child care facilities.
