Southwest Virginian’s who rely on food assistance will soon receive additional support as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act. Prior to the pandemic, about 850 thousand Virginians, including 250 thousand children did not know where their next meal would come from. It’s now estimated another 275 thousand more may experience food insecurity in 2020.
