Virginia Pharmaceutical Company Sentenced To Pay 289 Million Dollars
Global pharmaceutical manufacturer Indivior, with North American headquarters in Eastern Virginia is sentenced to pay more than 280 million dollars in criminal penalties in connection with a previous guilty plea related to the illegal marketing of the opioid addiction treatment drug Suboxone. The sentence to pay 289 million dollars was handed down in Abingdon Virginia Thursday. Indivior, pleaded guilty in July to one count of felony criminal information, charging false statements relating to health care matters.
