Jonesborough Man Arrested After Stabbing

A Jonesborough man is jailed after being arrested Friday morning for threatening to kill his wife, then stabbing her. 25 year old Jason Smith of 133 Smith Ln. Jonesborough, is charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault, Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest. Police were dispatched to number two Mel Circle Apartment seven, where a female victim stated Smith had threatened to kill her, then stabbed her in the foot. When officers went to arrest Smith, he resisted and struggled with officers and was eventually taken into custody a short time later. Smith remains in jail, where he awaits a court hearing Monday afternoon.
