COVID-19 reportedly the cause of cancellation of Friday night’s Dobyns-Bennett vs McMinn County football game

Second round high school football playoff action in Kingsport was canceled on Friday night minutes before scheduled kickoff.

The contest between Dobyns-Bennett and McMinn County was unable to go on due to circumstances related to COVID-19.

Information surrounding Friday’s game and cancellation has now been submitted to the TSSAA for their review, and a possible decision including who will continue on through the playoffs will be decided in the coming days.
