KPD: One dead, homicide investigation ongoing following incident early Sunday

One person is dead and a homicide investigation is underway in Kingsport following the incident early Sunday.

Kingsport Police say they were called to a residence on Osage Dr. just after 1 a.m., and upon arrival, found Eduardo Oviedo-Velazco, 26, dead from a gunshot wound. Detectives say so far in their investigation, it appears to be an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
