Virginia Lawmakers Say Pot Has Decent Chance Of Passing In General Assembly

Slightly better than 50 50 odds is the way Senate Delegates in Virginia describe the chances of passage of recreational marijuana in the Commonwealth and the House expects to pass the measure when lawmakers take up the matter lawmakers in January. According to published reports in the Associated Press, proposals to legalize the weed apparently have a decent chance of passing. The movement in Virginia follows voter approval in four states on referendums legalizing pot. There are now 15 states that have legalized marijuana across the country.
