Surgoinsville Elementary to move to virtual format starting Tuesday through Nov. 27

Surgoinsville Elementary in Hawkins County is moving to a fully virtual format starting Tuesday.

Director of Schools Matt Hixson reported the change to families on Monday as a result of increasing positivity rates and quarantine numbers as the school will stay virtual through Friday Nov. 27 before planning to return to in-person instruction the following Monday Nov. 30.
