Ballad Health: COVID-19 vaccine workgroups in place, vaccine deep freezer storage units purchased in preparation for when vaccine is made available
Ballad Health is providing updates regarding its work in preparation for a COVID-19 vaccine for when it becomes available.
Chief Operating Officer Eric Deaton mentioned during Ballad’s weekly press conference on Wednesday that Ballad has two workgroups assigned to vaccine work, including one working on research and developments for the vaccine while another is examining the distribution aspects. Ballad has also purchased four large deep freezers to be able to store vaccines which have to be kept at extremely cold temperatures.
This update comes on the heels of announcements from Pfizer and Moderna that work on developing their own vaccines appear to be 90-95% effective.
