Kingsport Waste Water Treatment Plant Receives Two Awards For Excellence And Performance

Providing safe, reliable, access to clean water services day in and day out is no easy task, but the City of Kingsport is achieving that goal with peak performance and operational excellence. Kingsport’s Waste Water Treatment Plant recently received two awards demonstrating that accomplishment. The National Association of Clean Water Agencies presented the city with a Peak Performance Award for reporting no permit violations for the entire calendar year. And the Clean Water Professionals of Kentucky and Tennessee gave Kingsport an Operational Excellence Award. Kingsport’s Waste Water Treatment Plant takes what occurs naturally in the environment and duplicates it on a much larger scale to ensure clean water services for the city.
