UPDATE: Driver in summertime crash that killed Emory and Henry student charged
A Southwest Virginia woman is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of an Emory and Henry College student.
Court records show Lauren Nicole Salyer was arrested and charged Nov. 12 and was released after posting bail.
Salyer was the driver in a July 16th single-vehicle crash in Emory that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Gracie Dimit of Marion who was scheduled to graduate from college later this year.
Salyer is scheduled to be arraigned on the charge in General District Court on Dec. 7.
