Washington County Tennessee Residents Arrested On Aggravated Kidnapping, Assault Charges

A man who had been assaulted and held against his will for nearly two days is now safe, and two Washington County Tennessee residents are in jail on aggravated kidnapping and assault charges. According to the Washington County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office, 43 year old David W. Smith and 52 year old Sheryl L. Smith, both of Little Germany Road were arrested near the Nolichuckey River on Thursday after authorities received a tip that a male subject was being against his will and had been assaulted. Following an investigation, deputies arrested the pair and both are being held in the Washington County, Tennessee Detention Center on 80 thousand dollars bond. The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are pending.
