Ballad Reports Double Digit Increase In COVID Deaths Since Thursday

Ballad Health is reporting Friday, 84 patients have died from COVID-19 in the course of the past seven days. That number was 55 on Thursday, an increase of nineteen deaths. The 21 county service area’s positivity rate is dropping but is still at an astonishing rate of eighteen point one percent. The regions largest health care provider reports a total of 63 beds available with 39 patients in the Intensive Care Unit and 30 more on ventilators. As of Friday afternoon Ballad was reporting a total of 220 patients within their system.
