Federal judge sentences two Detroit, MI area men for roles in crack cocaine trafficking in Northeast TN
Two men out of the Detroit, MI area will serve time in federal prison for their roles in trafficking crack cocaine in Northeast TN.
Quincy George, 36, of Detroit, MI, and Larry Walker, 22, of Harrison Charter Township, MI, were each sentenced in US District Court in Greeneville this month on charges of conspiracy to distribute more than 280 grams of cocaine base or crack.
Investigators identified George and Walker as sources of crack cocaine in Sullivan County in April of 2019, and during a traffic stop made by Tennessee Highway Patrol last August, Kingsport Police, federal drug agents, and Vice and Narcotics Unit agents with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, found narcotics in a vehicle George was driving, including 90 grams of fentanyl-laced heroin and around 372 grams of powder cocaine.
Judge Ronnie Greer sentenced George to 18 years in prison, while Walker will serve a prison sentence of more than seven years.
