Kingsport Elementary School Named Model Demonstration School

A Kingsport elementary school is changing its climate, culture and proactive disciplinary practices through a model framework. Abraham Lincoln Elementary School has been named a 2020-2021 Gold Level RTI2-B Model of Demonstration School. More than 18 hundred schools were considered for the award and Lincoln Elementary School is among a small percentage meeting the criteria. The framework consists of identifying common behavioral expectations across campus, teaching, re-teaching, reinforcing and on a regular basis acknowledging students, faculty, and families for exhibiting those expectations.
