Fatal Washington County Virginia House Fire Now Under VSP Investigation

A fatal house fire that killed two people in Washington County Virginia on Friday is now being investigated by Virginia State Police. The request comes from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The cause and origin of the fire that killed two so far, unidentified victims does not appear to be suspicious in nature. An adult male was able to escape the blaze which totally destroyed the home located on the eleven thousand one hundred block of Mount Calm Drive. The two adults who died were sleeping in an upstairs bedroom. Autopsies are being performed to determine positive identification.
