Johnson City woman jailed after state troopers say the woman led them on a pursuit through three counties

A Johnson City woman is facing a number of charges after TN state troopers say she fled from them through three different counties.
An incident report from Tennessee Highway Patrol says Michelle Evans, 37, was clocked traveling at a high rate of speed while on Interstate 81 in Greene County. THP says Evans initially pulled over, then fled, going speeds over 100 mph while passing vehicles on the shoulder of the interstate, and taking several exits before continuing the chase on the interstate into Sullivan and Washington counties.
State troopers used spike strips to disable Evans’s tire, and then she was taken into custody at the Eastern Star exit ramp of Interstate 26. Charges Evans faces includes the following:
*Felony Evading (3rd offense)
*Driving on Suspended Driver License (7th offense)
*Speeding
*Habitual Traffic Offender
