Ballad Reports Positivity Rate Of Nearly 20 Percent

In the past week 94 patients have died in Ballad Health Care’s 21 county service area due to COVID-19 and the region’s positivity rate for community spread is approaching an astonishingly high rate of nearly 20 percent. The health care provider continues to struggle with high numbers of patients, with 210 being reported as of Wednesday. Ballad reports 43 patients in the Intensive Care Unit and 26 patients using a ventilator to assist with breathing. Since March, the region has reported 670 deaths due to the virus.
