UPDATE: Hampton man in hospital, THP searching for vehicle reportedly involved in hit and run Tuesday in Carter Co.
Tennessee Highway Patrol is asking for the public help’s in a search for a vehicle reportedly involved in a hit and run of a pedestrian Tuesday in Carter County.
A crash report from THP says William Tolley, 49, of Hampton, TN was walking along Highway 91 near King Springs Rd. around 5:30 p.m when witnesses say a gray or silver four door sedan traveling east, struck Tolley, briefly slowed, then sped away continue east along Highway 91. Tolley was taken to the hospital to be treated for unknown injuries.
Charges are pending against the unknown driver and anyone who has information on this case should contact THP at 1-865-544-3380 extension 5548.
