UPDATE: Judge sets preliminary hearing for Carter County trio charged in girl’s death

The three men accused of killing a 10-year-old Carter County girl in what investigators called a revenge shooting appeared in Sessions Court for a status hearing on Wednesday.

Jediah Glover, Jason Barber, and Zachary Scalf will return for more legal proceedings as a judge will evaluate evidence in their case in their January 8th preliminary hearing.

The three were arrested and charged following a Nov. 19th drive-by shooting where Central Elementary student Lillyhannah Davis was shot in the head while she slept on a front room couch.

Barber told officers that he drove the getaway car as Scalf and Glover fired 21 shots into the home on Blevins Road in Elizabethton.
