Cold weather, warm hearts: Bristol, Tennessee takes ‘Spread the Glove’ to State Street for sixth year

Items that can help keep those less fortunate warm this winter are tied to the trees of State Street in downtown Bristol.

It’s the 6th Annual ‘Spread the Glove’ event –all community motivated and supplied with hats, gloves, and other items that are attached within reach of those who need an extra hand up for the cold days ahead.

A mild winter last year and great support from residents allowed Bristol, Tennessee officials to tie-on more than 800 free items this year. Since Spread the Glove began in 2015, more than 3,000 articles of warm gear have been provided.
