Bristol Virginia To Receive Nearly 50 Thousand Dollars For Family Self Sufficiency Program
The City of Bristol, Virginia is one of 19 other localities across the Commonwealth to receive an economic boost of federal funds to reduce the dependency on further federal assistance and rental subsidies. Bristol will receive nearly fifty thousand dollars that will be used by the Bristol Redevelopment and Housing Authority to help connect families to public and private resources to help them increase their earned income and transition to a more stable housing situation. The money is part of nearly two million dollars awarded through the Family Self Sufficiency Program at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
